Call me a pyromaniac but I liked this project. This was my first attempt at a pyro sim in Houdini, and I’m very happy with the end result! All simulations and structural parts were made in Houdini to be imported into Blender for lighting, shading and rendering. Also a first time trying out a Houdini to Blender workflow, which for the most part worked fine except the part where Blender crashes when attempting to open the scene file. To work around this I saved all elements to their own separate .Blend file and linked them together in a render file. When everything was set up I couldn’t close the file, so then it was time to render. This has probably been the most challenging assignment so far since it had a lot of elements that needed to be combined and to top it all off, finding a good way to get everything into Blender. Thank you .USD!
